Tea

Taiwanese Tea ceremony (GongFu Cha- the art of preparing the best cup of tea) offers you a relaxing and tasty opportunity to try up to 6 different high quality oolong teas which are served in special sipper and sniffer cups, cups made exclusively for the enjoyment of oolong teas.

Oolong tea, which comes from the same plant as black, green and white tea (camellia sinensis), is handled through a process that involves plucking, withering, oxidizing, fixing, rolling, and drying, and sometimes roasting. The exact steps and techniques can vary depending on the desired oolong type and flavor profile which renders fruity, floral, or earthy flavors, otherwise not ever experienced in green or black teas. It is similar to how grape juice, when masterfully handled, turns into wine and offers the nose and palate numerous amazing tastes and scents.

Oolong tea is jam-packed full of all kinds of nutrients, notably flavonoids, theasinensins, and polyphenols. Your body uses them as antioxidants, and they help you maintain a healthy metabolism, immune system, and cardiovascular system. All things considered, oolong tea is packing a lot of important nutrients that will help keep you healthy!

  • Antioxidants absorb and protect your cells from free radicals, which are extremely harmful. They increase your risk of heart disease, cancer, and a variety of other conditions.
  • Flavonoids are anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic. This crucial set of nutrients also regulate the health of cells and modulate enzyme function.
  • Theasinensins help regulate human serum albumin, which is a protein in your blood. Basically, Theasinensins help your cardiovascular system stay healthy!
  • Polyphenols are crucial antioxidants that help regulate your immune system. They lower your risk of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis.

With all that said, the ceremony also provides a comforting space for relaxation, simple enjoyment, and quiet conversation, as well as, a time to reflect on the subtle scents and flavors of the teas.
