Ahhhhh.... to finally have a website that also includes my paintings is a dream in and of itself. Now that my children are a little older, I've been able to immerse myself in the dreamworld of painting again. I love to get lost in a painting and then to suddenly find myself looking at something that I am not always so sure where it came from, other then from the dreamworld I was able to access. A place where you fly if you like or speak in the language of cats or frogs or flowers. A place where you simply cannot inhibit yourself, because you know it will stifle your flow and flight too much in order to keep on the wings of creation. It's a gift to be able to be part of that inspired state. It's not something you can claim ownership to, yet you know you fully belong. So, now here, on this website you can see the pieces I've been creating since 2022. I would also like to let you know, that I am always looking for models and am available to do a commissioned pieces. This new technique I'm using begins by taking a photo of whomever, then adjusting it as feels fit, then have it printed on canvas and from that I paint on it. I like to incorporate aspects of the person into the piece so it becomes personalized and tells a story of who the person is. It is especially fun to take extremely mundane backgrounds and create a dreamscape or other reality around them. Because no matter where we are, in our minds eye and from within our heartscape, we can envision and create the reality we want to be in. We have the ability to create a prison or a prism from which endless opportunities take root and sprout forth.
